On Monday night, tragedy struck Rafut village in the Kwatas area of Bokkos Local Government Area when gunmen launched an attack, killing five individuals. Among the victims were four young men who were guarding their family homes, as well as an elderly man.
The young men were ambushed while protecting their homes, and the elderly man was killed when the attackers stormed the family compound. This brutal attack occurred not long after a security briefing involving local stakeholders.
In a related incident on Sunday, a young man was attacked and injured while riding his motorcycle near Maikatako, underscoring the growing violence in the region.
