President Tinubu To Reshuffle Cabinet, Accuses Ministers Of Not Engaging Media Enough To Announce Achievements

President Bola Tinubu is preparing to reshuffle his cabinet, expressing dissatisfaction with how some ministers have communicated the administration’s achievements to the public. During a recent press briefing, Bayo Onanuga, the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, emphasized Tinubu’s concern that many Nigerians are unaware of the government’s progress due to insufficient media engagement by ministers. Tinubu has directed his ministers to be more proactive in promoting their work, particularly through media channels, to combat the perception that the government is not doing enough.

This reshuffle, which may occur before Nigeria’s Independence Day on October 1, aims to reposition the cabinet for better performance and engagement. The move follows criticism that the current ministers are not effectively implementing and communicating the administration’s reforms. There is also speculation that underperforming ministers may be removed or reassigned.
