Following his inappropriate response to taunts from Lionel Messi during Al-Nassr’s match against Al-Shabab, Cristiano Ronaldo has been handed a ban and fine.
In a Riyadh Cup game against Al-Hilal on February 8, Ronaldo seemingly gestured towards his groin and rubbed a scarf on his crotch upon leaving the field.
He has also responded to ‘Messi’ chants from the stands. Despite these incidents, he has been a prolific performer, converting a crucial penalty against Al-Shabab and reaching 34 goals in just 35 appearances this season.
