You cannot defend Tinubu without disgracing yourself- Dele Farotimi

Dele Farotimi, a jurist, author and political activist, took to Twitter to criticize supporters of Bola Ahmed Tinubu (BAT), former governor of Lagos State and national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC).


In a tweet posted on Saturday, February 3, 2024, Farutimi said defending Tinubu was an exercise in “self-exposure”, meaning one could not defend him without humiliating oneself.

Defending the best available technology is a self-deprecating activity; You can’t defend it without making yourself look bad. He said: “We must take off the clothes of honor to disguise men. The more we defend men, the more cowardly we appear.”

Farotimi is an outspoken opponent of the 1999 Constitution and the Nigerian regime. He is a member of the Citizens’ Protest Against Repression.

In addition, he is also the spokesperson for Peter Obi, the 2023 presidential candidate of the Labor Party.
