Buba Galadima, leader of the NNPP, has responded to the statement of Abdullahi Ganduje, National Chairman of the APC, when he called on Rabiu Kwankwaso and his supporters in the NNPP to join the APC.
In an interview with Arise TV, Galadima claimed that after Ganduje apparently followed Tinubu’s instructions in inviting Kwankwasco to join the APC, Ganduje made a statement in Hausa. He said if anyone heard that statement, they would “choose Tinubu’s race.” He said Ganduje asserted his dominance over the APC and declared in Hausa that he is the leader of the party and anyone who follows him must relinquish his leadership in the party.
Galadima accused Ganduje of complying with Tinubu’s instructions when in fact he did the opposite. In Galadima’s words: “I only saw this in English, if you heard what Ganduje said in Hausa, you would have chosen the race for Tinubu. If they explained to Tinubu what Ganduje said in Hausa when he said: ‘Whoever comes to this party, I am you, I am the father, I President, whoever comes must leave another political party leader than me. Once you get here, I’m your boss.
This means that he is trying to protect Kwankwasku while believing that what the president asked him to do is what he is doing. this is not true.”
