Kaduna Governor Launches Free Transport for Civil Servants with 100 Buses

Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, has introduced a Free Transportation Scheme tailored specifically for civil servants by deploying 100 compressed natural gas (CNG) buses. This initiative is part of the governor’s effort to ease transportation challenges faced by state employees and improve their productivity.

In an official statement released by Ibraheem Musa, the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, it was outlined that the CNG buses will facilitate the daily commute of civil servants to and from their workplaces. This step is intended to alleviate the burden of transportation costs and foster a more productive workforce.

The statement highlighted, “Governor Uba Sani is set to launch a Free Transportation Scheme for civil servants with the deployment of 100 CNG buses. These buses will serve to transport civil servants to and from their places of work, aimed at reducing their daily commuting difficulties and enhancing their productivity. To ensure smooth operations, a Joint Management Committee, consisting of representatives from organized labor (NLC and TUC) and the State Government, will oversee the scheme.”

Additionally, the Kaduna State Government reaffirmed its commitment to implementing policies that bring relief to its citizens, particularly the less privileged. “We remain dedicated to transforming lives and enhancing social welfare. With continued support from our citizens, Kaduna State will serve as a model for effective social welfare interventions,” the statement concluded.
