Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State has convened a critical gathering of the Northern States Governors’ Forum (NSGF) and the region’s traditional leaders, headed by the Sultan of Sokoto, to address pressing issues of insecurity and power outages affecting the northern region.
This significant meeting, held at Sir Kashim Ibrahim House in Kaduna, is chaired by Muhammad Inuwa Yahaya, Governor of Gombe State and chairman of the Northern Governors Forum. The discussions are aimed at strengthening collaborative efforts to curb insecurity, enhance regional stability, and address the persistent power shortages hampering socio-economic growth.
With northern Nigeria often grappling with unique security challenges, the forum hopes to set actionable strategies involving both state and traditional authorities. The outcome of this meeting is anticipated to yield a more unified approach, drawing on the influence of the region’s leaders to foster safety, development, and improved living conditions for residents.
