Trump briefed on threats from Iran to assassinate him

Former President Donald Trump was recently briefed by U.S. intelligence officials about “real and specific threats” from Iran to assassinate him. These threats are reportedly part of Iran’s efforts to destabilize the U.S., particularly as Trump campaigns for the 2024 presidential election. His campaign communications director, Steven Cheung, emphasized that law enforcement agencies are actively working to ensure Trump’s protection amidst these threats, with concerns that Iran views Trump as a strong opponent compared to current U.S. leadership.
