Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno State has launched the distribution of relief materials to victims of the recent flood in Maiduguri. The flood, caused by heavy rains, displaced many residents and damaged homes and infrastructure. The relief items include food, clothing, and building materials to help the victims recover. Zulum emphasized the government’s commitment to long-term solutions, including flood control measures and infrastructure improvements. Humanitarian organizations are also collaborating with the state government to provide additional support, while plans are underway to prevent future flooding in the region.
