NPFL: Lobi Stars dismissDominic Iorfa, Appoint New Management

The Benue State government, owners of Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) club Lobi Stars, has dismissed the club’s CEO, former Nigerian international Dominic Iorfa, and his management team. The decision was confirmed in an official statement released Saturday night by the state government.

The statement announced that the executive governor of Benue State, Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia, has directed that Lobi Stars FC be placed under the control of the Benue Sports Council. A new board for the club has also been established, with the following members:

  • Dr. Philip Nongu – Chairman
  • Dr. Iorngulum Malu – Secretary
  • Chief Solomon Andiir – Member
  • Mr. Harry Yachi – Member
  • Mr. Francis Ejiga – Member
  • Sir James Iorpuu – Government Representative

The governor further directed that the handover of management be completed before midnight on Saturday, September 7, 2024.
