COAS commissions Army Shopping Complex in Lagos

The Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Taoreed Lagbaja, has commissioned the newly constructed Nigerian Army (NA) Shopping Complex situated at the Bonny Military Cantonment, in Victoria Island, Lagos.Lagbaja stated that the commissioning of the Shopping Mall represents a significant milestone in the ongoing efforts to enhance the welfare and well-being of Army personnel and their families.This was contained in a statement issued by the Force Director of Army Public Relations, Onyema Nwachukwu, on Thursday, April 25.The statement reads in part: “The Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Lieutenant General Taoreed Lagbaja, today Thursday 25 April 2024, commissioned the newly constructed Nigerian Army (NA) Shopping Complex at Bonny Military Cantonment, Lagos.”In his address at the commissioning ceremony, the COAS, who was also the Special Guest of Honor, lauded the innovative acumen of the Commander Corps of Engineers, Major General Philip Eromosele and officers and soldiers of the Corps for their ingenuity by keying effectively into the transformation agenda of the COAS to revolutionize Nigerian Army personnel welfare through provision of comfortable accommodation and befitting living and working environment.”Speaking further, the COAS stated that ‘today’s commissioning of this Shopping Mall represents a significant milestone in our ongoing efforts to enhance the welfare and well-being of our personnel and their families.”
