Robbers Raid Home Of Premier League Striker, Alexander Isak

Thieves broke into the home of a Newcastle United striker, Alexander Isak just months after his teammate’s property was targeted a mile away.

According to MetroUK, it’s thought that the gang broke into £100m forward Isak’s four-bedroom home in Northumberland via the back patio doors, roughly 48 hours before the team beat Fulham 1-0 yesterday.

There have been no reports of arrests made as of yet, though detectives are understood to be investigating whether the culprits are the same people who broke into fellow Newcastle striker Joelinton’s home a few months ago.

Several high-profile footballers, including Jack Grealish, Raheem Sterling and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain have all similarly been the victims of what are known as ‘away day gangs’ – groups of professional thieves who target players’ homes when they are out of town for a game.

It is not clear at this stage whether anything was taken from Isak’s property, though a car is understood to have been stolen and later found abandoned around three miles away, in Dissington.

Speaking with The Sun, a neighbour said: ‘Police are still piecing it together, but he was broken into.

‘There has been a security van at the house with dogs.’

Northumbria Police have said their enquiries remain ongoing and have encouraged any members of the public with information about the burglary to come forward.

Raids of this kind have been known to cost their star victims dearly.

When Jack Grealish’s £5.6 million home in Cheshire was broken into, the thieves made off with an estimated £1 million in watches and gems. Raheem Sterling is reported to have lost around £300,000 worth of designer watches after criminals targeted his house in Surrey. Meanwhile, Victor Lindelof’s wife and two children were forced to lock themselves in a panic room back in February 2022 while burglars ransacked their home in Manchester.
