Wande Coal behind evolution of afrobeats – Oxlade

Sensational singer, Olaitan Abdulrahman Ikuforiji popularly known as Oxlade, has crowned his senior colleague and mentor, Wande Coal with numerous titles following his influence in the music industry. 

Speaking with Joey Akan in an interview, Oxlade said Wande is the reason why there is an evolution in afrobeats

Wande Coal is my dad, that’s the reason why a bunch of us can falsetto, can claim we are singers, that’s the reason why the evolution of afrobeats started,” he stated. He added that he had always been a fan of Wizkid while giving accolades to Burna Boy and Davido.
