The suspended Minister of Humanitarian and Poverty Alleviation Program, Betta Edu has been suspended by the presidency for allegedly transferring N578m into her private account which is unconstitutional.

The Minister ever denies transferring such money into her personal account as she accused mischief makers of tarnishing her image and that of her ministry who is trying to tackle corruption.
President Bola Tinubu, on Monday, suspended the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management, Betta Edu, following widespread anger over an alleged N585 million scandal.
The Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the President, Ajuri Ngelale, disclosed this in a statement made available to journalists.
