Rema, the Mavin superstar, donated 105 million Naira to Christ Embassy in Edo State during his recent homecoming. The donation took place at the singer’s Thanksgiving service on Sunday at the church’s campground on Sapele Road.
In a video shared on social media, Rema expressed his gratitude to the church for its support when his father passed away. The “Commando” singer shared that the church helped his family by opening a shop for his mother during a difficult time when they felt alone.
Rema announced his donation breakdown as follows: N40 million for the church’s infrastructure, N20 million to the “Rhapsody of Realities” devotional, N25 million for the teen church, and N20 million to support any widow in need.
“The church embraced me,” Rema said in the video. “I pledge N40 million to the infrastructure of the church, N20 million to ‘Rhapsody of Realities,’ N25 million to the teen church. When I lost my dad, we felt alone. The church opened a shop for my mum. If there is any widow, I am pledging N20 million.”
