Auwal Dankode, an employee of the Nigeria Aviation Handling Company, has been lauded for his remarkable honesty after returning $10,000 found on an aircraft. While performing his duties at Malam Aminu Kano International Airport in Kano, Dankode stumbled upon the large sum of money—equivalent to about N16 million.

Instead of keeping the cash, Dankode reported his discovery to the airline company’s manager, setting off an immediate search for the rightful owner. His swift and principled action has earned him significant recognition and respect.

Zagazola Makaman, a security analyst and counter-insurgency expert, shared the story on the X platform, highlighting Dankode’s reputation for his deep-seated fear of God and unwavering integrity. Dankode, originally from Kode in Kano State, has become a beacon of honesty and accountability in the workplace, inspiring widespread admiration for his selflessness.
