Celine Dion says she was “overwhelmed” after her unforgettable performance at the Paris Olympics opening ceremony.
Dion is performing for the first time since revealing she has Stiff Person Syndrome (SPS).
Last month, Dion revealed that she had previously taken the life-threatening drug diazepam to relieve cramps so she could perform on stage.
The 56-year-old sang on the first floor of the Eiffel Tower as an estimated one million people watched on TV during the Olympic opening ceremony.
Dion has not performed since 2021, when she cancelled training in Las Vegas due to health issues, before revealing her SPS diagnosis and cancelling her world tour in December 2022.
SPS is a rare disease that causes serious illness. The singer said it can be so painful that ribs break and your throat feels like you’re suffocating.
