Senate advice CBN to regulate crypto currency activities

Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) directive to stop Nigeria financial institution from transacting on clypto currency had attracted a wide reactions from Nigeria and become a national discussion.

CBN last week ordered all financial instution to shutdown all bank account associated with crypto currency trading.

There was a revelation from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) who had warned CBN of fraudstaers using crypto currency to bring into the country hundreds of millions of US Dollars obtained in the USA and other Western economies.

Sen.Bassey Akpan(PDPAkwa Ibom) condemned the total ban ofcrypto currency,said Nigeria should not exclude itself from global technological development shaping the world.
