The Speaker of the House of Representatives,Femi Gbajabiamila said he would be embarking on a trip to Ghana on “Legislative Dipolmacy”.
The Speaker said he has recieved President Buhari assent to meet with Ghanian authories to resolve any diplomatic issues,especially $1m levi imposed on Nigerians shop owners before they can do business in the country.
Gbajabiamila frowned at the way Nigerian shops its been closed says it contravened Economic Community of West African States trade protocols, told reporters that he would find a way forward during his trip.
He said, “I am leaving for Ghana tomorrow (Wednesday) to meet with the Speaker of the parliament in Ghana to look at the issues on ground as they affect our citizens, and to try and calm things down.
The Minister of Information,Alhaji Lai Mohammed last week protested,saying humiliation of Nigerians in Ghana will no longer be torelated.
