Election:UK announces closure of visa application centres in Lagos

UK Embassy in Nigeria to closed down on March 20th in respect of the gubernatorial election in Lagos State for safety reasons.

In a statement on Friday the UK said his application centres in Ikeja and Victoria island will be closed down,this is to protect its customers and staffs during the election period said the spokesperson for the Commission

International community in recent times accused political bigwigs of creating panick enviroment in order to scare electorates from exercising their franchise as the 2023 election so far as been manipulated.

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of the All Progressive Congress will be contesting with other opposition parties like the Labour Party and the Peoples Democratic Party .

The incumbent governor of Lagos State knows that this is not going to be a business as usual as Labour Party who now has a large followers has become a threat to the ruling party.

The UK Commission sees this as a threat calls all UK visa application centres to seize operations for the safety of their staffs and customers.
