Abuja court sentence man to 21 months imprisonment for stealing mp3 speaker worth of N5000

A court in Abuja has sentenced one Mr Sulieman Abubakar to 21 months imprisonment for stealing an mp3 speaker worth N5000.

The police charged Abubakar of trespassing ,house breaking and theft.

Delivering the judgement the convict was asked to pay a fine of N30000.

Meanwhile the convict as earlier begged the court for leniency .

The prosecutor,Babajide Olanipeku told the court that the complainant reported to Zuba police station.

The complainant said February 5 the convict broke his window worth N80000.

During pokiceninterogation the convict confessed to the crime.

The prosecutor said it’s not the convict is not a first time offender.
