PDP Chairman finally breaks silence on alleged N1b bribe

National Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party Iyorchia Ayu has breaking his silence on an alleged N1b bribe taken from the party’s presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.

Ayu at a meeting cleared the air about the rumor of the bribery allegation of N1b leveled against him by Gov Wike of River State,as he continues to deny ever collecting money from anybody.

The National Chairman went on to say that the former presidential candidate suggested to the party to get a loan of N1b when the party had funding issues.

Governor Wike had accused Iyorchia Ayu of collecting bribe of N1b from Atiku in order to pave way for him to clinch the presidential ticket which he asked the National Chairman to step aside if the party is serious about winning the presidential election 2023.

Few months to the general election PDP has not been able to put its house together as five governors who are loyal to Wike insist the National Chairman of the party must go.

Ayu who has not been seen on National  tv for some time finally held a press conference clearing the air on the allegation leveled against him by Nyesom Wike

The PDP Chairman debunked the allegation and said all transaction were monitored by the National Working Commitee and that the whole process was also transparent.
